Developing native Android apps requires coding in Java, while building iOS apps requires coding in Objective-C. What if you don't have such skills on hand? PhoneGap creates mobile apps using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that can tap local storage and native features in Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Symbian, Palm, and Windows Phone 7 devices. Although PhoneGap doesn't create truly native apps (performance of processor-intensive apps will suffer) and lacks its own tools for creating user interfaces (Dreamweaver and third-party tools fill the gap), it's a winning solution for most mobile projects. PhoneGap may be the fastest way to build mobile applications on the market today.
